Hot Battery terminals on a golf cart?

The terminals on my golf cart battery heat up to the point of melting whenever it is run. The batteries were all re-wired using large enough cables not all of the terminals are heat up only 2 or 3 does anyone know the problem????

Sound like under capacity batter terminals (the lead structure has deteriorated). Need to replace with high quality golf cart terminals. Also are the batteries hooked up in proper sequence?
