Are those MPG meters really worth it?

I would like to get one so I could know how to drive my car more economically, but they're like $150!

Also is it even possible to hypermile in an AWD Subaru?

Here's the link http://www.amazon.com/ScanGauge-Compact-...

you can install a vacuum gage on it for a whole lot less, they will help you monitor the amount of vacuum the engine is pulling,as a general rule the more or the higher the vacuum is the better the gas mileage is,all the gage does is tell you to keep your foot out of the gas pedal,a simple 30 dollar vacuum gage will do the same job,and is very easy to install,it takes less than 30 minutes to install one on any car,or any brand of car, good luck.

Forget the meters, just accelerate slowly to the posted speed, Don't Put your foot through the floor. If you get stopped in traffic by a train, shut yer engine off, restart just before you have to start moving again. All it takes is common sense, and a little reading. I already practice many hypermiling techiques and have been for years.
Reply:Instead of wasting 150.00 on more car-gas-crap. save yourself the money and google gas saving tricks. Maintaining your car will save you money as well as your driving habits.
