Engine for oldmobile silhouette (2000 Van)?

The engine (3.4) to my oldmobile silhouette (2000 Van) is bad and i can not find the similar one to replace, did anyone know of any other kind of engine that can fit it to it? Can engine like that of Chevy venture or Pontiac montana fit it?

hi quite a few years ago my friend had and oldsmobile car sorry i cannot remember the model only it was a coupe two door red with a white roof anyway we got this with no engine and what we did was put a baby buick in a v8 3.5l rover sdi engine and that worked there was plenty of room and not that much adaption wiring etc... that will give you enough power to pull that van of yours too
