Hairline crack on headers?

i drive a 97 honda civic dx and i have a hairline crack on my headers,when i press the gas i hear a whisleling sound, i want to replace them but since its the stock headers they have the catalytic converter welded on to them, i was wondering if anyone can tell me that if i buy just new headers would i have to buy a catalytic converter or what?

and cats help the enviroment and hardly hurts perfomence if they are flowing correctly

let your car cool down for a few hours till its at air temp....buy this **** called JB weld...read the directions and apply...let that stuff dry up for at least a day or so tho....
