Truck making tapping noise?

Hi


I have a 1992 Dodge Dakota 4x4 that is making a tapping noise. It sounds like valve noise to me, but I took it to the shop and the replaced all of the lifters and the noise is still there. The guys at the shop said it would take a while for the noise to go away as the hydraulic system has to bleed itself full of oil. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

Reply:Its not oil because you pistons would be knocking loud not tapping...you gotta be more specific tho, where is the nose sound like its exactly comming from?
