I Thought that they were a 2-stroke. Oil is mixed with gas or at least there is an oil bottle for direct mix injection.

Hi, If you're talking about a Yamaha Wave runner, They are 2 cycle, so there is no dipstick on the engine. There is a reservoir that you put the 2cycle oil into, %26amp; it injects it into the engine as it is running..
Reply:You need to have a dip stick or opening to put oil in the crank case. Premix at the fuel lubes the piston because the crank is not designed to sling oil on the cylinder walls to lube the piston rings and the walls.


As I under stand it there may not be a dip stick because water can get in. There usally is a sealed cap with a stick attached to it, read owners manual or call dealer
