Go to tirerack.com you can look up tire/wheel packages based on model of car, rim or tire size. Entering tire size should give you approx. ideal rim widths.You may have to search around to find the exact search area. Been awhile since I've been there.

Recommended rim widths for a P205/55R16 89H or 205/55R16 91H tire are 6.0 to 8.0 inches. 7.0 is ideal.
