Why does my low fuel light keep flashing?

i know the fuel is low but last time i filled it up i filled it up 40 liters when the tank is a 50 liter. shouldn't the light go on when i got lie a liter left not 10 liters left. is it because when u drive the fuel swashes around in the fuel tank and doesn't go down the hole?

bad sensor in the tank. There is a sensor for your fuel gauge and a seperate one for the low fuel light.

inside your tank there is a floating "guage" that senses your fuel level. Alot of the "floating gauges" are mounted inside a bracket on two sides. the floating part may be wedged in and stuck at the bottom of the bracket.
