can you get a ticket for it..i really need to put my ac cuz its gettin really hot, more than 100degrees...

Call the fire department and see what they say. That would be my bet. You know how it is,fire codes and all that. I know its hot but if you dont do it the right way it could cost you your home or your life.

If your not regulated by codes about such things, (check with the fire dept.or an electrician) I would just make real sure you can push it out of the way in case you need to exit through the same window. Of course this may lead to an unsafe, unstable install. Then again,maybe not.

Reply:If you get a portable ac unit they will have a hose that can out out the window without blocking it. Be warned that the portable units don't work as well as normal window units. Make sure to buy a unit that is rated for more than you need.
