Tire fall off? Squealing right rear on a i35, not the brakes, after tire replaced!?

So i had my car in to Discount Tire and they replaced the right rear tire. When i got it back there was a squeal coming from the right rear wheel area.





It comes and goes. When I hit a bump in the road or brake it will sometimes make it start up again. I took it in to have the brakes done on it and they told me the pads are only about 30% worn. They told me the squeal might be brake dust but it makes the noise even when I am not braking. It is consistently there when i back out of my parking place. What could it be?

Sounds like the wheel bearings. Take it back and have them look at them. If it wasn't doing this when you took it in, it's their responsibility .

I hit a curb once and totally screwed up my right front brakes and my right rear wheel bearing. Both cost me 600 to get fixed. Once I saw the wheel bearing I was upset because it looked liked I could do it myself.





NOTE: That's another reason to not drink and drive.





Take the wheel off and inspect the ENTIRE area before you decide what it is. From the way it sounds you should see the problem once you take it off bro. Sounds like a wheel bearing to me. But it could be something else....a strut could also make that noise.





Take the thing off and look it over. You should see something that's just not right or some damage going on.





Matter of fact....jack it up and rotate the tire. You might be able to find out where the noise is coming from.

Reply:wheel bearing get it replaced before it goes and welds itself onto the spinal then its a ***** to get off. shouldn't cost to much
