Lowering kit?

I have a 99 honda accord ex and im thinking of lowering it about 3 inches, I saw this kit at auto zone 3 inch. u bolt lowering kit. What do you think will they work?
Lowering kit?
They will probably work but just do it right cuz i have seen a lot of honda's with bad lowering jobs. Sometimes if you use the stock arms the tires rub.
Lowering kit?
With that kit the car will ride like crap (you're messing up the spring rate on a spring). It will bounce on every bump too. If you're trying to be cheap don't bother lowering it.

At least get a set of lowering springs like tein or eibach. Those will eventually wear out your stock shocks/struts and the car will bounce (depends on how low you go). So a set of performance shocks/struts would be the proper way to go.
Reply:Buy a kit and do it right. Compressing, torching or cutting your stock springs will cause a rough ride and could cause unpredictable handling that could cause you to loose control. After market spring kits are pretty cheap and you could do the job your self over a weekend by renting a strut tool. There are some shops that sell springs and struts as a package and you could install those in a few hours with some hand tools (but power tools will help out a lot). Don't forget to get an alignment after-wards. Otherwise your car may pull to one side and eat tires like they where free.
Reply:3 inch u bolt lowering kits are for trucks or cars with leaf springs, which an accord doesnt have, a lowering block kit sets the axle 3 inches above the leaf spring thus making the truck sit lower. a car typically using lowering coil springs or struts. look into these companies, eibach, hotchkiss, tokico or modcar.com or racepages.com
