Its called a safety feature thats on almost every car. Theres a way to turn it off, you just have to read the manual. And for the ignorant person who claims American cars are poorly made, they should learn a thing or two about the automobile history. Call me crazy but i never heard of a Henry Nissan or a Henry Honda? My "poorly made American vehicle" made in1969 seems to start up just fine.

It means you are another victim of a poorly made American vehicle. Service it..
Reply:sounds like a fues to me... bigger then the little ones u have,, sry thats my best answer!
Reply:It sounds like they're supposed to do that...like a safety feature. Lock back as in open? Get a hold of a Chilton's manual. You can get this at any auto parts store. I've never heard of this. It may just be a fuse or wire problem.
Reply:Like Mark said, it IS a safety feature, but if you want to disable it, buy a different make of car that the locks don't lock until you're going at least 8 miles per hour.
