It would be cheaper for you to retrofit it for the new R134a gas. Also, they will PAY YOU to have the freon sucked out (because freon has become so valuable).

you propably mean R-12
you might be able to find some gauges at a parts store...but dont plan on recharging that system with r-12 considering its extremely hard to find due to the fact that its not longer being made...and if you do find it, its gonna be rediculously expensive.
the make r-12 alternatives...it worked decent...but id recomend getting your system converted to r-134a and do things the right way.
Reply:Even if you could find R-12, you wouldn't be able to purchase it without a license. Your best bet is an R-134a retrofit.
