My car engine fan has recently been welded and its very tight and engine takes time to warm, is this ok?
huh?.....lol.....well, it will be ok as long as it reaches normal operating temp....around 185-195 degress.....i can say this, you will not have a heater in the winter....with ur fan running all of the time, the engine will not reach 160 in the winter and thus no heater...plus, the lower the engine temp, the more wear on the engine clyinders....its ok for now, but get it fixed right before winter...

No, welding a fan is a bandade and can cause serious imbalance problems. Take it to a qualified auto repair shop and get it fixed right
Reply:For the most part it is NOT doing damamge.





Your only PROBLEM is that when the car is NOT warmed up the engine runs rich and uses more fuel. So in the winter, if it takes forever to warm up, you will be using noticeably more gas.
