My Engine Will Turn and fire for a split second. Why does it not fire all the way?

Looking for some ideas to try out as it will begin to fire but than immediately stop and go back to just turning the crank. I am sure its really easy but i cant think of what it can be. calling all mechanics!





It is 1993 GMC sonoma. but i put in a 383 stroker motor with an Edelbrock pro-flo multipoint fuel injection system. anything i could check? thanks!

new plugs and wires or reset timing and if that doesnt work distributor cap, rotor or, the distributor itself may be bad
