Can you go to tafe or else where to learn to be a mechanic,


i want to be a mechanic , im currently fully employed but looking for a change in my career is there any way to keep working in my fulltime job and go to tafe or somewhere at night to get my mechanic certificate, im in Sydney

Here in the US there are special schools you can go to for education or some colleages offer auto school. But a night class is not enough hours to learn.


And a word from the wise, you have to start at the bottom to get to the top.


Look around and see if a shop will take you as an apprentice.

There should be some sort of trade school there. I leaned in the US Marine Corps.
Reply:Automotive TAFEs in Sydney can be found at Gymea (steering and chasis college) and St George (engine College) Give em a call and see if they have any night classes.
